The Dorchester comes in a steel or brass version. With both finish types, the grate comes raw, which means that it is not lacquered. So the grate will age with time.

The steel version is a nicely blended all-steel unit. The brass version, as shown in the photos, has the fretwork, finials and decorative side pieces in solid brass.
