To whom it may concern,

In my experience, you typically will not find quality floor fenders in this size range. Either they are made of brass plated material, or they are solid brass but have sustained heavy damage over the years. Not only is this piece in good condition, all of the visible material is made in solid brass. Just under the top of the base of the fender (just beneath the brass) is heavy steel bracing which helps to reinforce the piece. The brass corners on the horizontal base and upper crossmember are still properly brazed and have not been damaged. Overall I would say this is in very good condition.

The finish shown is polished brass and does it appear to be lacquered. To simplify the transaction, we have included refinishing in the quoted price. This means before shipment, we will disassemble the entire thing, take it to our polishers and have it professionally polished. This allows us to match whatever finish you desire, whether that be polished with lacquer, polished without lacquer, satin, brushed etc. We felt it made more sense to give you that option instead of refinishing before posting this item.
