The Square Regency is one of our favorite grates. It is an entirely cast unit; it has heavy finials and a heavy cast fretwork. By dimension it is small, but it has so much visual volume it can fill fireplaces much larger. This unit has a ceramic firebrick.

NOTE: Originally, a ceramic firebrick was a detail only included in the finest fire grates. Its purpose is to help with heating and also to prevent the coal from warping/deforming the iron back of the unit. This is because coal is one of the only solid fuels able to physically melt steel.
