The Regency is a large firegrate made entirely of castings except for the handmade pierced fretwork. Its large size and intricate detailing make it one of the finest models we offer. This unit does have a ceramic firebrick. And this unit is also available in an all-steel version, as shown in the photos.

NOTE: Originally, a
ceramic firebrick was a detail only included in the finest fire grates. Its
purpose is to help with heating and also to prevent the coal from
warping/deforming the iron back
of the unit. This is because coal is one of the only solid fuels able to
physically melt steel.
