Homefires is the exclusive distributor for Real Flame in London, England. Some of our selection has been in continuous production since the postwar period. And our senior parallels in England were in business when the coal burning ban took effect, which was essentially the beginnings of the decorative gas fire. The first Real Flame products in the US were imported by a famous interior designer in the 1980’s. And in 1994 her son incorporated Homefires to consolidate the product domestically. In 2010, Homefires was purchased by Alex Radmard, who has continued on the tradition.
As much as we would like to say we do something new and unique. The truth is, we do something very old, and we do it exceptionally well. We tailor make custom fireplace products, same thing that has been done for hundreds of years by craftspeople. The succession of Real Flame and Homefires has provided us with knowledge other fireplace companies simply do not have. An understanding of fireplace products from a global level, the types of product used, the technical comprehension, for fireplace equipment dating back many centuries.
Of course, we are in the business of selling physical products, but we don’t like to necessarily think of ourselves as just any run of the mill supplier. We are your custom fabricator when you need something bespoke. Your technical specialists when you have a question. And your connoisseur when you need an opinion. We are looking for long term partners, which is vital to our survival, as much of the product we sell is heirloom quality and lasts a lifetime.
We are happy to carry the torch and continue on the tradition of our English counterparts. Selling beautiful, durable, high-quality fireplace equipment all across North America; nearly all of which is made in US & UK. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you!
